Hi all - I am planning on a DIY ceramic coat soon. I feel confident in doing it after watching Out of Spec's 2 hour long video on how to detail the truck. However, after looking at some reviews online of the ceramic coating he recommends (CLEAN by Pan the Organizer) I'm a little skeptical. Then watched Project Farm's review of ceramic coatings and am now very interested in Adam's Graphene Ceramic Coating.

Has anyone CLEAN by Pan or Adam's Graphene coating? Or - other options?

I have tried looking through this form, googling, youtube, etc...and there's not a whole lot of good info on DIY ceramic coats for the truck outside of Out of Specs videos.

Looking for any and all feedback :)

Thanks!

I just use whatever the automated brush wash puts on, they call it ceramic but could just be elephant urine for all I know.

Go with Pan’s 8 year coating. It’s easy to install, it’s extremely hydrophobic and it doesn’t darken the color of the stainless like most coatings do.

Interesting. Maybe I'm reading too much into everything and should just try CLEAN. I'd read things alleging Pan has been deceptive in much of his content and marketing, and that paired with the relative newness of his product (so no long term testing results) was starting to make me a little shy about using it. Seems like I might be blowing that out of proportion though :)

I used CLEAN after watching out of spec. It turned out awesome. Just do one panel at a time . That little bottle goes a long ways. I did all the stainless, the glass, front and rear bumper, the tonneau, the entire inside of the truck bed and the wheels . I still have 1/4 of a bottle left ! It took me a Saturday afternoon, probably 3 hours but well worth it. Cleans up easy and if you can get a fingerprint to show , it wipes right off.

Go for it !

I have been most pleased with the results of Adam’s Graphene Ceramic Coating. But I applied it over the PPF wrap and don’t know about just over stainless steel. The two things that I was surprised about: after months of having been applied it has held up remarkedly well, and the small bottle really goes a long way. In spite of their claims I thought I would have to reapply it more often as most products require.

Just put 8 yr Clean on yesterday. Easy and very glossy. Guessing 3 yr is just as good.
Prob would do more coats of barkeepers and continue it until black tarnish is clean on the towel. 3-4 hr job.

I feel the same. Definitely has the “cybertruck tax” with the high cost.

To me Pan lost all credibility when he ranked all his CLEAN products in first place in all his cleaning awards and his buddy/distributer came in #2 in the tests. Amazing how a YouTube personality formulated the best products compared to companies that have been around for decades doing R&D…

Based on the detailing at Out of Spec Detailing I've seen, I would be skeptical of anything and everything they say about taking care of a Cybertruck. Complete clowns.

There's a very good reason for that. Any coating you rub on the hard stainless steel is going to be less durable than the stainless steel itself. Cybertrucks come from the factory with no coatings to damage or mess up. Adding a coating just puts a more fragile layer on the outside. I say, "Let the metal speak for itself!".

Don’t knock it until you tried it. I’ve had the coating on 4 months now and couldn’t imagine going back to the way it was. It’s very easy to maintain a perfect looking truck now.

Four months is nothing, ie, not much of a test. I've had my Cybertruck uncoated for over a year! Most ceramic coatings will last 4 months before they start failing!

Totally agree. I love having the exterior just be a tank and nothing messes it up, but as it's gotten warmer out I have a bug salad on my front bumper every single day. If I don't clean them off immediately it just becomes a pain. So I have to get some kind of coating for my sanity ? I am very skeptical of his products though. Hoping someone chimes in soon with experience with Adams coating.

Bugs come off easily when it’s coated.
