As CT's windshield is unconventional, I'm trying to figure out what's the best place to stick the Fastrack. My ideal spot is next to rearview camera in the corner where the plastic rim meets the windshield, near the driver side. I held it in my hand while passing through a scanner, and it worked; however, it didn't work in some of the other routes I was taking. I don't want to stick it below the horizontal plastic rim of the review view camera. It's too much on the face. Any good spots that others have been using that works for all fastrack scanners?

I have my attached to the roof glass. Not had issues so far.
That’s great! Does it work if you attach it to the roof that’s behind the driver? It has to be reachable for me to change the passenger count switch on the toll device.

Yeah, that’s how mine is mounted. I have no issues changing it out whilst driving. It’s now become muscle memory and can change without looking. I have it attached with sticky Velcro strips.

I absolutely HATE stickers on my windshield. Primarily because they look like crap. So, I took my TxTag toll sticker, of which they made pretty small finally, and slipped it in the visor pocket, where it protrudes out a bit. Then, I flip the visor up and gonE! You can’t see it, and it works! They tell you it has to be adhered to the window to work, but that’s just not true! Try it!

I never put mine on my car. I just keep it where I can grab it when I need it and put in on the dash. No issues, no ugly stuff on my windshield.

I used this mount I found on Etsy. Keeps it out of the way and along the edge of the windshield and doesn't require any sort of sticker to attach it.

This is a cool option. Where do you mount it? I held the tag in my hand under the scanner exactly at the corner shown the picture, but it didn’t scan it on 680. I don’t know whether the scanners look for the tag at specific places on the vehicle. The instructions are very specific to stick it 2ā€ offset in top left corner or below the review mirror, but CT’s windshield is different. The other option is to stick it below the tint as the other member mentioned, but I prefer to keep the tag out of the view as much as possible. Roof is another good option. Throwing on the dash is good too, but if it moves around, it might be hard to retrieve ?

Crazy idea…don’t use it. ?ā€ā™‚ We have a Fastrack account with listed vehicles. Since we don’t go to the Bay Area often, sometimes we forget bringing the transponder. If we do forget the transponder, they just bill the account associated with the car. Don’t recall if there is a benefit to using the transponder. But if there isn’t, ditch it.

For Southern California I use their new headlight sticker shown here. It kinda goes with the Cybertruck. You can order it from Fastrack. It was either free or nearly free.

The only benefit is you can switch the number of passengers from 1-3. In some toll passes, 2+ passenger Fastrack vehicles can go through for free.
