Mine has been in service for two weeks now for this issue. They installed a new steering module, but now they can’t get it to communicate with the truck. I am getting very frustrated, as I purchased the truck only a month ago. The estimated completion has been moved back 1 day every single day the last two weeks. This was supposed to be a 2-day fix…

Mine had this too, they had to shave down the plastic!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm curious about the specific repair - could you share which plastic component they shaved down? Was it the plastic housing/sleeve around the steering column shaft?


I ask because I've been comparing this to the Model Y Service Bulletin SB-25-32-002 for similar clicking issues. In that bulletin, Tesla's solution is to apply felt tape on the top surface of the steering wheel shaft (where it connects to the SCCM).


I'm wondering if the Cybertruck repair involves a similar area, or if it's a different component altogether since the Cybertruck uses steer-by-wire technology.


Any details you could share would be really helpful!
