Hey y’all,

I wanted to ask you about your experiences taking your CTs off-road. What are some things we all should know? Tips to share?

I’m looking forward to going out with mine soon (on a lighter trail, likely Burns Canyon in SoCal), and just wanted some reassurance as a first timer. I do have some people I’ll likely go with as I know you should try to travel in groups, but wishfully, something could be arranged with some of you guys here.

Thanks.

it does pretty good! Youll want to remove the front AND rear wheel fairings. Your biggest issue will be break over angle but it really does handle well. I did a bit of a smack today and scraped my rocker panel a good amount but no biggy.

I’ve got a bunch of videos from today just need to get them clipped and uploaded to somewhere.

I would say be cautious in wet/muddy terrain with incline. I found the stock tire tread doesn't seem to shed mud well and it is easy to loose traction in these conditions especially given the weight of the truck. Dry and steep was no problem (and lots of fun).

Also I found the off road mode gauges pretty interesting showing the pitch and roll. It made me curious to know how much roll is too much? I don't want to find out the hard way! I would imagine the truck can handle a lot of roll angle given the low mass of the battery pack but certainly raising the suspension height increases the risk of a roll over. Will the off road mode give some sort of alarm prior to a critical point?

There was this statement from Elon at the delivery event: "because the center of gravity is so low, it doesn't roll over."

Surely some YouTuber with more money than sense can test these questions out for us!
