Don't the snowmobiles take it over in the winter?Nice Leo! That’s the route I take to K-Town quite often. It becomes pretty much impassible in the height of winter.
I got a bit nervous when the cellular connection dropped, and if I needed to change the destination, there was a chance it wouldn’t be able to set a new one. I should start bringing my Starlink Mini in the truck for peace of mind. Thanks for the video, I love exploring off the beaten path in my Cybertruck. It really clears the brain to get out away from people.
Navigation hack:
For good reasons the Tesla Navigation avoids routing on backcountry roads. People have died by following their GPS under the wrong conditions. But, if the road is displayed on the map when you zoom in far enough, in my experience, you can drop a waypoint somewhere on the road and add it to your route. There are a few ways to do this, and a few tricks to get it to route as desired, but it's pretty straightforward once you understand how it works.
? lots of sleds around in the winter.Don't the snowmobiles take it over in the winter?
More lessons learned. You can set it before you drive out of cellular reception but, if I recall, it will still route to a pin without cellular (and it warns you it's routing without cellular).I got a bit nervous when the cellular connection dropped, and if I needed to change the destination, there was a chance it wouldn’t be able to set a new one.
