Dear Forum,
I was just tickled this week when I was driving around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights in my new CT. Surprised, was I, when I wanderingly found the home driveway of another CT in my city of sub 100,00. It was the first that I had seen. It too, like mine, has CA Paper DMV plates.
I made a note to say hi later and then kept cruising.
Anyway. The Skinny:
I'm quitting my teaching job this year. We'll see how long summer break lasts this time (I'm shooting for Looooong).
I want to explore Forest Service Roads all over the Western Sierra this year, with a preference for between Tahoe (North) to Kings Canyon (south). But one of my goals in this learning cycle is to eventually go re-exploring the White Mountains of CA. Haven't spent time there in too long.
I have literally 0 off-highway experience.
I have good sense of perception and balance. I'm handy enough at fixing things.
I'm putting together my off-road toolkit to be ready for increasing the excursions.
I live in San Joaquin County and would be open to meeting fellow CT enthusiasts in my area. Please feel free to send me a DM. If you think large enough, anyone is local.
Sincerely,
Treesneezer
