Looks like somebody woke up...

"ROTH MKM Senior Research Analyst Craig Irwin upgraded his outlook on Tesla (TSLA), raising his rating from Neutral to Buy and increasing his price target from $85 to $380 per share. Irwin joins Morning Brief to provide insights into his bullish perspective on the electric vehicle manufacturer.

"This quarter, I think, is gonna be the last quarter where we see a relative weakness for Tesla," Irwin states. He highlights the surge in investor enthusiasm since the recent election, noting that public perception has dramatically shifted. "I think a lot of people are looking at Tesla going, 'Wow... [Elon] Musk's a pretty cool guy, let's go check this thing out."

Irwin's forecast centers on several key growth drivers. He anticipates increased market share and sales for the company, with particular excitement around Tesla's AI and robotics segments. "There's an abundant list of catalysts on the positive side. And on the negative side, there's really not much," he tells Yahoo Finance."

Hmm.

52 week low $138.80 (April), high $361.93 (a month ago) and this guy just changes his price target from $85 to $380? Brave call, current price is $355.

So, was he recommending you go short a few days ago when he was at $85? If he believed that price, that would b the call. Then he flips to bullish after such a big move and he's only predicting another 8% move up? Sounds pretty risky, short term. This guy would be great if you're having trouble buying in at a top but I'm usually pretty good at that.

I'm a long term bull and I was a strong buy at $150 but I've been thinking of taking some profit and waiting for the next big dip -- I expect there will be one, given Tesla's history of volatility. I'm glad he has come around to understanding the value, but OMG, this makes no sense.

Since it's impossible to time these big moves, I'll sit tight and use a big dip to add to the position.

He was neutral before. Go figure. I'm long term on both Tesla (for 5 years) and Palantir (for 2-3 years). Both are volatile and timing their ups and downs is problematic and anxiety inducing. Other stuff I trade now and then but prefer picking good companies with great CEOs and just riding out the bumps.
