Any engineering type want to comment on the galvanic protection between the SS and aluminum? How much energy would active protection consume? Is it possible to isolate the 2 materials enough? Sacrificial anodes?

There's not much voltage there, so it takes very little insulation to keep the reaction from happening.

They already mix aluminum and steel and stainless on their other models.

Active protection would depend upon how much surface area was in contact.

I had the same concerns but Elon convinced me in the latest Sandy Munro conversation that Tesla is VERY aware of the issues. They are gonna handle their $#/+ so I'm not gonna worry bout that issue anymore lol ?

Isolating the entire frame with epoxy sounds a little tricky. maybe if they double/triple coat the mating surfaces before they bond them and then test for current leaks after they are joined. I want a 20 year body, not a 10 year body.
