Hey all CT enthusiasts! Along with 2 friends, we DIY PPF wrapped a Foundation Series Cyberbeast.
We got the pre-cut PPFs from TWRAPS, a brand I had purchased other stuff (screen protectors and indoor trim wraps) before. Note that this post is not sponsored, and I paid for the PPFs out of pocket.
We were 3 guys with absolutely zero experience in wrapping. Pressure washing and drying the truck took us 1 hour and wrapping the truck took us 8 hours and 20 minutes. Installation did NOT require us to remove any trim pieces.
For guidance, we basically watched TWRAPS’ DIY video over and over again:
Overall, it was exhausting but it was well worth paying multiple thousands for someone else to do it. The films have pressure activated glue, so you don’t need to perfectly align on the first go. Quite DIY friendly. Did we do a perfect job? No, there appeared a few, very small bubbles on inconspicuous areas. We will try to address them by puncturing them with a needle - apparently film is self-healing. Overall, this install exceeded my expectations.
Without further digression, here are some pictures from the install.
