Yes. I used them and it was great! They even sent some spare pieces for free when I messed up. The only issue I had was the heat gun died but I already had one anyway so it was no big deal. I highly recommend TesBros.
Thank you for your feedback. I ordered a gloss wrap from them and the application did not come out pretty. I successfully applied the matte black film to the pillars but the gloss film immediately wrinkled up as soon as it touched the car. Do u think a matte finished film is easier to install than a gloss film?
I don't think the gloss or matte finish makes much difference when it's being applied. I don't have a ton of experience wrapping cars. I did a simple black satin stripe on the hood of one of my son's Jeep and did my other son's full car in glossy blue and found the approach that worked best was heating and stretching the vinyl to go around curves. I bought the vinyl on rolls and didn't have pre-cut pieces. It was a difficult process that took about a month to complete (he was away at school) and I figured if I can do that, surely I can do the Cyber truck.
When I did my cyber truck, I started with the same approach of heating and pulling the vinyl to smooth it out. That resulted in smooth vinyl without wrinkles, but my stretching distorted the size of the vinyl pieces and then they no longer fit properly on each panel. The pre-cut pieces only give you a few millimeters to spare to wrap around the edges and if you don't stay perfectly lined up, it's easy to run out of vinyl.
What worked best for me was to avoid heat and stretching wherever possible. I would carefully line up a piece on a panel and hold it in place with the magnets. I would only remove a single strip of backing at the top and work my way out from the center and slowly down the door with the squeegee. I was surprised at how many wrinkles I could squeegee out without stretching and applying heat. If you watch the videos in the tutorial you can see that he is able to squeegee out a lot of wrinkles that way.
Sometimes the vinyl would stretch a little bit from me pulling on it to lift it to get rid of a wrinkle. When that would happen I would heat it just a little bit to relax and shrink back up again. In the end it was a completely different approach than what I took on the BMW but it was easier to do it the Cyber truck way than it was what I had done before. It only took me a weekend to do the Cyber truck.
