I kept getting alert of the camera blocked or blinded, how does one clean the section of the interior windshield in front of the camera?

Agreed that Clips are easy to break
(mine did, though I was being careful)
Could not source the replacement part easily or quickly
So... I used 2part epoxy to hold clips in place
Worked like a charm

I searched the web and Grok for a video tutorial and came up empty.

The Tesla Cybertruck Service Manual instructions posted earlier are pretty clear:
Clean Forward Camera View (Precision Cleaning of Inboard Glass) (Restore) (RoW)

The job is not for people who have difficulty working overhead (it's kind of an awkward position to be working in). The important thing to not break the clips is to understand that they are designed to release in a vertical direction. Do not rotate the beauty cover off, slide it off the clips straight down without rotating the cover. This can be difficult due to the angle you are working.

The other thing to avoid problems is to avoid damaging the wires as the cover is removed (and pay attention to wire placement when re-installing).

If you don't like working on things, let Tesla service do it.

I did mine the other day. Using a Torx 20 driver to remove the mirror was the trickiest part for me. Just getting the driver inserted and engaged with the screw took some effort. The outer cover came off easier than I thought using a plastic pry tool by working around the cover until one clip released, then the others. The inner cover was simple to remove once I saw where the tiny release tabs were located. Push them in and the cover falls off. I didn't bother detaching any wire connectors. The Tesla Service manual photos are somewhat different than my hardware. I used some glasses lens wipes to clean the glass. Assembly was straight forward, taking care to align the clips on the outer cover. Front camera warnings are no longer popping up.

Thank you, and no, I’m not. a proponent of working overhead. I just released the rearview mirror from the ball and now can’t force it. back on. Maybe I should let service do this after all, but after the latest FSD the wiper (lens/glass fog) is driving me crazy.

I would prefer Tesla to perform this maintenance as they will cover any broken parts and my time is worth more than $75.

Success, I don’t think I broke anything and in bright AZ sun, no wiper swipe so far. Until further notice, we’re gonna call this project good. Thanks for all the advice!

Tesla has cleaned mine twice for free. Are your service centers not doing this for free?

I believe the outcome depends on the individual who provided the quote when requesting service through the app. I received an estimate of $275 last month but requested again this week, there was no charge.
