You don't have to worry about getting a Model 3 down a dirt road! I've taken my 2018 Model 3 Performance on roads people said were only passable by high-ground clearance vehicles without more than the lightest scraping on the chin or center/bottom. Yes, if the road is rugged enough you might have to slow down, but the Model 3 has very short overhangs front and rear and the stiff chassis helps too, by not flexing out of shape on rugged roads. I'm constantly surprised on how adept it is on really bad roads relative to other passenger vehicles that could have clearance issues when the going is a bit rugged.Today I drove a Model 3 Long range. I'm too big for it. I barely fit inside it. Seat all the way back. difficult to get in and out(I'm only 6,2" 220 lbs ), and ground clearance so low, I would worry about trying to get down our dirt road for the last 2 miles of drive each day,
I'm 6'-04" and 215 lbs. and fit really well in a Model 3. The seat has quite a range of adjustment (mine is at least 3" from the most rearward position). I'm guessing you are not familiar with how to adjust the 8-way power seats (it could be the lumbar support was incorrectly adjusted). The Model 3 seats are low to the ground for a tall person to get out of without a certain amount of leg strength, but adjusting the Easy Exit seat position to the highest position (and a bit forward) really does a huge amount to fix that potential issue.
The beauty of the Model 3, beyond it's very low purchase price for someone on a budget, is its ability to travel long distances at the lowest cost and with the shortest charging stops of any EV on the road today. That said, the Model Y is roomier and is not far behind. Get the one that speaks to you more and that fits your budget. I'm just saying I think either would work, once you adjusted the seat properly and learned how well it drives on less than perfect dirt roads. They are both stupendously good cars for the price.
edit: I see you picked up a Model Y. Congratulations, you're gonna love it!
And there's not much to "figuring out" how to Supercharge. Mostly a matter of using the backup camera to back all the way into the stall. After that, just plug it in with a single firm push.
