broken part possibly poor design

  1. Front plastic piece below frunk broke off

    See pictures…. Front plastic piece below frunk broke off on one side and I loosened nut on bolt holding other edge and took it off. It was filled with frozen sand (live in cold climate). Anyone else had a problem like this? Strange design that it is hollow and fills up with road dirt.
