    Brake Fire

Electrical malfunction causing that one wheel to seize. They had it for three days, gave me a CT loaner. Replaced rotor, caliper and pads under warranty. Excellent service from my SC. Could have ended differently had I driven another mile or so.

    Brake Fire

Yes, no indication of scorched paint.

    Brake Fire

Not wrapped. Painted to match. Awaiting Tesla SC report on cause.

    Brake Fire

Just under 5k miles. It went in to the SC today. Gave me a '25 CT for a loaner. Said it could be a few days while engineering studies what happened.

    Brake Fire

Thanks for those tips. When not driving, park seems to be the default position. I put the truck in neutral to see if the caliper opened up. It automatically went back in to park when I opened the door.

    Brake Fire

Truck was wrapped with color coordinated calipers by one of the big name professional shops one year ago. At this late date I'm confident their work did not cause this. I'm sure the SC will attribute the fire to the paint.

    Brake Fire

I had a ten mile drive, 50 mph average, last week. Pull into the store parking lot, a guy is pounding on my window saying you're on fire. WTF? Jump out, smoke pouring out of left rear wheel well along with a small orange flame coming from brake pads. Fortunately, it was small enough for me to...

Vandalism Prevention w/ Electrified Body? 🤔

    Is spray paint conductive?

What to use to remove spray paint?

While on this topic, any suggestions about removing spray paint from ceramic coated PPF film? I was planning a trip from FL to NJ this summer but am nervous of the risk.

    Bricked CT

Thanks for your assist. I did that, the reboot sequence got the truck re-activated. Downside, blank touch screen. Drove it to Tesla authorized repair shop for them to troubleshoot. Sure glad there is a directional indicator above the rearview mirror. This was the first time I ever used it.

    Bricked CT

Good suggestion. This company has a lot of Tesla experience. I would expect them to use something like that.

    Bricked CT

A simple tilt / swivel screen adapter install turned into a dead in the garage, CT. Two bolts and a video cable connect, what can go wrong? Having failed a scroll wheel reboot to activate touch screen, a SC tech explained the low voltage system reboot process. I think this is where it went south...

Platform over spare tire in bed?

I think this is what you're looking for. $500 from Tsportline. Downside, you can't close the tonneau cover with spare on shelf. I didn't know this when I purchased.

    FSD 13.2 DOA

How about this one? I'm driving I-75 FL to GA. Occasionally there's a sign following the 70 MPH speed limit sign that says 40MPH minimum. It now shows 40MPH on the screen. FSD interprets this as THE SPEED LIMIT and promptly slows down from 75 -80 whatever the bulk is traveling. I intervene...

Nut size for rail support bolts

The crossbars I purchased from Cybertruckco came with 10mm nuts that fit those studs. Make sure you plug the bottom opening in that well. I lost two nuts into the bowels of the body.

Tonneau cover stuck in open position

15749, but calibrating fixed the problem thanks to Stuck4ger

Tonneau cover stuck in open position

You just made my day. I did the calibration per your suggestion and it's now working fine. Much appreciated.

Tonneau cover stuck in open position

Tonneau cover stuck in the open position today after a very jerky opening. Had been working fine, no prior symptoms'. Anybody experienced similar issue? My earliest SC appointment is January 29. Will be a lot of inefficient driving until then unless somebody has a recommendation. Thanks in advance.

    Another rear inverter failure ( UI_a006 )

Planning a 1200 mile trip up north very soon. Now I'm nervous. I have a service appointment in two weeks for unavailable suspension adjustment (stuck in low), should I request inverter replacement?
