  1. 2025 Holiday Software Update now live (and installing on Cybertrucks)!

Is that true – it turns on auto high beams and won’t let you deactivate it unless you deactivate FSD? That would really be a very poor decision choice. Auto high beams is not very effective, I have found that it constantly puts itself in low beams because of ambient light that has nothing to do...
  2. FSD 13 vs 14.1 vs 14.2 - my experience and thoughts

Assigning Incorrect speed limit has been extremely problematic for me in every FSD version, and somewhat worse in 14.2. At the end of the day, aren’t we drivers held accountable for the posted visual speed limit (I.e. the sign), and if no posting, then the legal limit for that type of road? So...
  3. FSD v14.2 update rolling out now (including Cybertrucks)

For me as well. Hugging right side of road. And in our rural area we have mailboxes sticking out, so this is a bad combo. Also the nav choices are awful - a simple route and for some reason it goes way out of the way (v13 took the optimal route). For me 1 step forward but 2 back.
  4. Less control on FSD v14

Well I don’t have data, just my observations, but the visualization first does not seem to be the case. Tons of examples where I’m driving by a traditional speed sign, with full view, and it misses it. So there must be some more complicated algorithm than simply ā€œI see it, or if I don’t see it I...
  5. Less control on FSD v14

In addition to the jerkiness (especially on starting, but also with decision-making), its understanding of the actual visual speed limit has taken a step back if that’s even possible. Can someone explain ā€œGISā€ and why the CT seems incapable of reading and interpreting road signs? It seems to...
  6. Less control on FSD v14

Duh. Iā€˜m a dufus . Figured that out when I set the offset to zero (thinking it might be additive to the speed profile) and my CT just kept going ā€˜ding ding ding ā€¦ā€. 😜
  7. Less control on FSD v14

If offset does nothing with the new FSD categories, why is it an active choice if the profile is set to FSD? Shouldn’t it be ghosted? If my profile is set to FSD, there is no TACC option (in the old days you could do one push for TACC or two pushes for autopilot).
  8. Less control on FSD v14

Like several others on this post, not only does my CT not read the speed signs correctly in many areas in our town, it goes way above the speed limit in ā€œnormal modeā€œ. Posted 25 miles an hour, the CT knew it was 25 miles an hour, but was happily going 35 miles an hour. I’m wondering with these...
  9. FSD V14 pushed to some early access Cybertrucks (over weekend of 11/1)

There are two related but separate issues here. The lack of granularity with the new speed profiles (chill, normal, fast) and the inability to read speed signs accurately. If speed sign reading was accurate, then I think the speed profiles would work perfectly fine, because you would be...
  10. Mounting 2 e-bikes inside Cybertruck bed & closing tailgate: success and what size e-bikes fit

There is enough weight and enough sway that it’s just extra Security. It also takes all of about two minutes to just thread through one Strap.
  11. Considering Spare tire without rim - any issues?

I don’t know jack (plus I am physically incapable of handling that task, but thanks!)
  12. Considering Spare tire without rim - any issues?

Thanks everyone. I wound up getting a OEM Pirelli Scorpion tire and Tesla rim on eBay, a cover, and a tri-fold lightweight ramp on Amazon. Figured we could use the ramp to help get our E bikes in the bed as well so double use. The only issue is the set up. I have doesn’t have the TPMS., will...
  13. Considering Spare tire without rim - any issues?

Background: we take frequent 600+ mile trips with our CT. We want to be able to take a spare in and out of bed and are not physically fit enough to move a 100 lb. spare + rim, nor can we handle a tire patch kit. we carry a tire inflator and a bottle of slime. We have pirelli scorpion all...
  14. Mounting 2 e-bikes inside Cybertruck bed & closing tailgate: success and what size e-bikes fit

Oops, sorry, my bad, I missed the word ā€œclosedā€œ. Not sure that’s possible without potentially damaging the bikes. You would need to lay one on top of the other. Maybe separating with thick moving blankets?
  15. Mounting 2 e-bikes inside Cybertruck bed & closing tailgate: success and what size e-bikes fit

See my pics above (first post of this thread). We were able to fit two Velotric discovery 2 E-bikes (72ā€ long) in the vault using the ride88.com cybertruck E bike rack system. Rear wheel first, clamp it down, turn handlebars, tie front end down. Their system is awesome. If you use it, make sure...
  16. Mounting 2 e-bikes inside Cybertruck bed & closing tailgate: success and what size e-bikes fit

It’s Blade Runner. But my sister told me she thought BLD stood for ā€œBad Life Decisionā€ šŸ˜.
  17. Mounting 2 e-bikes inside Cybertruck bed & closing tailgate: success and what size e-bikes fit

Nice! Are you able to back up far enough that you can charge with the wheels hanging over?
  18. Mounting 2 e-bikes inside Cybertruck bed & closing tailgate: success and what size e-bikes fit

Although the cybertruck bed is listed as 72 inches long, the front of the bed slants towards the rear of the truck, significantly reducing the actual bed length for any raised object like a bike. We purchased an awesome E-bike rack for the truck bed from ride88.com. It’s incredibly solidly made...
  19. PowerShare active (CT + Gateway + Universal Charger) - do I add solar only or solar plus powerwall?

Mongo, thanks. so sorry to be a pain. for solar + CT + powershare, if a power outage and NO CT plugged in, I assume that solar does NOT work, correct? So the limitation of this setup is ... power outage and no CT = no solar. Is that right?
