FSD going subscription only (one-time purchase no longer available after Feb 14)

I think Luxe package will include lifetime FSD. Luxe package also included lifetime premium connectivity and super charging. Those are subscription or peruse features for non Luxe vehicles.

Why Pay-Per-Mile Is the Right Pricing Model for Tesla FSD

Pay per mile would be like the old cell phone days with pay per minute, also those pay to play games. It would be good if people were responsible but may accidentally overuse leading to unexpected bill. Also, the disputes of incorrect usage amounts make it a burden. Another example, those...

FSD going subscription only (one-time purchase no longer available after Feb 14)

I believe the FSD "Supervised" wording was added years ago after major accidents and lawsuits, where drivers were sleeping or not paying attention. They added the term "Supervised" for legal reasons, that you must be supervising the drive, not go to sleep. Currently, "unsupervised" is still...

FSD without a destination... Where does it take you?

It will just continue driving along the road like Auto Pilot. You can turn, if you press signal direction when approaching the next intersection.

FSD going subscription only (one-time purchase no longer available after Feb 14)

In my opinion FSD is well worth the $8k. I had 3-month trial and used it over 4000 miles. Makes traveling much more relaxing. It is like having a personal driver. A year's salary for a personal driver is exponentially more. $99 a month is a great deal putting to good use. Two Uber rides cost...

    FSD 14.2.2.2 wackiness.

I like lane changing on 14.1.7 best. 14.2 was slower in lane changes but more refined overall. 14.2.1+ seems to make it worse. Too much hesitation on 4 way streets, unprotected left, and lanes changes. Too aggressive in sudden braking when a car looks like it will come into lane. I see the...

    FSD v14.2.2.1 (2025.45.6 Update) installed!

Just updated and short drive show more confident in the lane changes. That was the biggest downgrade from 14.1.7 to 14.2. Very slow and frustrating lane changes. Too much blinkers. The lane changing on 14.1.7 was perfect for my style of driving. Although, it did change lanes too much, but was...

    Early turn signals on FSD

14.1.7 was more realistic in the blinker action and lane change swiftness. 14.2 uses blinker too early and too much. Also, takes a long time to change lanes.

Drove a Rivian today. Drove a Chevy, Ford. My thoughts.

Don't worry, in future updates, the frunk space will increase. And add auto inflate tires, like in Demolition man and iRobot movie.

Drove a Rivian today. Drove a Chevy, Ford. My thoughts.

I like all the EV trucks. Rivian is it's unique own market and style. It's more like a EV Honda Ridgeline. Silverado/Sierra EV and Lightning are more traditional trucks and have familiar features moving from a gas Silverado or F-150. Styling, I like the Lightning's more traditional boxy truck...

Teslab is modifying the Cybertruck to make it street legal for Europe 🇨🇭

Appears to be, 1. Foam on frunk lid for pedestrian safety. 2. Harness mods per social media instructions. 3. Add biconical antennas to intercept U.S. premium connectivity.

Big Mother FUCA (forward upper control arms by Mountain Pass Performance)!

In a Monroe video, engineers talked about the suspension design in the Cybertruck that load on the upper control arm is minimal, thus the thin stamped steel used instead of the thick aluminum used in Rivian. However, not sure if going even slimmer upper control arm will cause issues.

FSD 13 vs 14.1 vs 14.2 - my experience and thoughts

From my experience, FSD reads the speed signs and updates the speed limit accordingly. Nether less, I noticed it reverts to existing speed limit data on temporary speed limit changes. For example, few days ago on NJ Turnpike, the traffic update signs lists 65, FSD updates, but noticed after a...

Elon confident "we'll allow you to text and drive [with FSD] in next month or two"

Sounds like unsupervised is a very near reality. Will be very interesting to see the real world tests. Elon plays 4D chess. Lawyers can't stop an army of Optimus robots someday.

Will the new Land Cruiser FJ cut into CT sales?

I love this new FJ. It's been some time since Toyota, or anyone, released a new body-on-frame compact SUV. Many were hoping for Suzuki Jimny to come to U.S., but this will be the closest, if they actually come to U.S.

Update 2025.38.3 with Tron coming in hot

I no longer see 2025.38.x last week. I think it got pulled since had so many issues? I am seeing 2025.32.8 now.

    Preventing interior wear and tear?

The soft material are easy to tear. I had a little tear on the door sill area after few weeks owning. While Cybertruck have nice premium material, however as a truck, I think the hard rugged plastics used in Toyota, Ford trucks are better long term.
