B-pillar cameras still not active for sentry recordings as of this update. (Only Live View)
There’s now an option that you can enable to keep all USB charging ports and the wireless phone charging dock active as long as the truck is above 20%.
Most likely unless you had that ran through conduit and there’s still enough room to pull the comm wire through while still meeting code. That comm wire is basically an Ethernet cable.
You need at least 6-gauge wiring for a 60A circuit. The requirement with Powershare is that it needs an additional comm wire to connect the PS Gateway and the UWC. That comm connection is what differentiates the UWC with the WC and makes the UWC compatible with the Gateway.
I’ve serviced my truck there a few times and so far I can tell you they have good techs. If you have issues ask to speak to their service manager Tylor. He’s pretty reasonable and will make things right.
I’m hearing more of road noise on mine when going over 75. It sounds more like the AT tires getting louder at high speeds though. Not sure if anyone else notices the same…
Correction to the second part of your statement. The custom phrase below your plate number has to be approved by the DMV prior to you being able to publish it.
I have 3M Crystalline 60% tint on my windshield and roof with no issues so far. Took the truck to Sequioa baking in the sun with the interior reporting 140 degrees for a few days…
No cracks so far…
Correction. The only USB port that the truck uses for Sentry/Dashcam recordings is in the glovebox. That is USB-A based and not USB-C like all the other ports on the truck. The truck should come with a 128G thumb drive already plugged in. If it’s not working, just format it through the Safety menu.
Hopefully your 14-50 conduit has enough room for a comm wire because the UWC needs that in order to talk to the Gateway. That’s the difference between the regular WC and the UWC and how they get PowerShare to work.
I don’t believe there is an option to split sound outputs. What I know is you can have the entire system playing YouTube sound for example, or shift to the back speakers only muting the fronts.
Yeah you’re better off shelling out pocket buying a new panel instead trying to PDR it back. Guarantee they’re not going to get it to look remotely close to being like original again.
Mine took about a week after install and permit approval for the feature to activate. You will know when it’s active when you see a PowerShare tutorial upon logging into the app.
