  5. Universal Wall Charger installation - does it require "Tesla approved" electricians?

Nothing special needed, just know what your doing when you wire it in.. #4 Awg. Highly recommended. The app walks you though the install and wifi hook up. Then you go in app and add product.. Pretty simple. keep all your paper work, it has the QR codes on them, store them with your gateway.
  6. Universal Wall Charger installation - does it require "Tesla approved" electricians?

I read the same info on the Tesla charging detail page. It was written in a way to lead you to believe that the universal charger Ver 3 was made with the ability for power share. Not sure the other two will support the power share. I wasn't taking a chance, I purchased the universal one because...
  7. Universal Wall Charger installation - does it require "Tesla approved" electricians?

You might want to lose that mind set, "Duty Cycle" vehicle's don't cycle during charging. They pull a continuous load. That is the sole purpose for "up sizing cables. This is the problem electricians don't grasp.
  8. Universal Wall Charger installation - does it require "Tesla approved" electricians?

The way I read Tesla's info, it seemed like you have to have Ver3 charger for the power share and the universal one was the only ver3, or the newest one out. I do have a Tesla rav4, so that built in adapter works great, between the 3 vehicles.
  9. Plugged into 240v wall charger and it took down my powerwalls.

Man that really sucks,, not sure what happened, but I would isolate everything and then bring one item back to grid power to reset everything.

  11. Got my Unversal Wall Connector and installed it

I've got to ask again, did they release the power share app ? I already have 23K in solar, 3 power walls, and a Gateway & a The new universal charger. Does Tesla need to be notified to send the Power share out to me ?
  12. Wall charger turned red from yesterday.

I was referring to the breaker that feeds your wall charger,, I'll assume that 2awg was the 2ott wire feeding the 200amp panel. the lugs on the car charger can't take 2awg copper, to thick. If over heating is the cause, it would be the run of wire between the breaker to the charger. Now in...
  13. Wall charger turned red from yesterday.

Has Tesla released The Power share from the truck to house yet ? and does it show up on the app if they did ?
  14. Wall charger turned red from yesterday.

Questions ? Breaker size in your panel feeding the charger ? Wire size they used? what amp rating are you charging your car at ? (60amp breaker?) (#4awg wire Copper) 100ft run or less. ( amp setting on your app ?) lower amps are better for battery charging.
