It's in the purchase order. If they don't deliver what's on the purchase order, I'm getting back my deposit. I'd rather wait for a standard version down the road.
Also, if I'm buying something that's not "turned on", I'm sure we could back put of a deposit if necessary. If they don't deliver what you've purchased on day 1, you should be able to exit the agreement without penalty.
I asked what the closest sample would be a fee folks directed me to to same I found. Perhaps there's nothing similar I could get my hands on for testing. :(
Seems like it shouldn't be that difficult to find a close sample for scratch testing.
Yeah, I'm not wrapping mine...honestly if it scratches as easy as my test stainless, I'm not a candidate for a Cybertruck and will have to see if I can convert my $1000 to a Model X.
More power to ya, if you can deal with micro-scratches by looking at it wrong.
I'm gonna try and ride this...
I believe a FEW people here mentioned that 304 stainless steel was the closest thing that we could get our hands on as a sample of cybertruck stainless steel.
So, I was able to get my hand on a sample, and very sad to say that it scratches easier than a good clear coat. Not even worth making a...
I'm very happy with the feedback here!! Awesome. I'm so tired of worrying about scratching my paint with a microfiber that's even slightly dirty from the wash. This will be awesome!!
What are your thoughts on the SS scratching vs a traditional paint/clear coat?
Easier? Harder to scratch? Similar?
Say the touch car washes...sometimes those will leave tiny micro scratches on clear coat.
I had an R1T...R1S is for sure tiny next to an ICE F150, which is even larger than a Cybertruck. Crazy optical illusions until you park them all in the same garage.
