  1. Painting your Cybertruck

Anyone who has a stainless grill knows how it will look after a while. I'm in a harsh coastal environment and i get rust spots on my 316L stainless grill but it's not the stainless rusting its containments like old nails and bolts rusting that falls onto the grill and sits their. This can cause...
  2. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

I'm gonna bet the 393 range is the RST as it weight 9900lbs. They all have he same battery as far as i know but still for something that heavy to get 393miles is doing good in my eyes but most importantly it's a usable millage for a vast amount of people who use trucks. No not long haul towing...
  3. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

That’s crazy. The ones who say it's not for long haul towing. MY situation is far from long haul towing and it don't even have the range for me and i work an extremally small area. So am i long haul towing when doing less than 60miles in a day with a small trailer on flat roads! it's a truck...
  4. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

It’s amazing the mental gymnastics of people that consider 100miles long haul towing ?. Based on my calculation of my trailer weight and aero efficiency compared to towing a flatbed with a car I’m looking at around 40/50miles range and I’m not even close to the max tow spec of the truck. Is is...
  5. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

Not even close. If the CT towing the fiat bed with a car can’t get 90 the airstream def won’t. They ain’t as aero friendly as you would think. My neighbor has 2 and they are no different to tow than any other RV. Guess we will see in the next few months as I’m sure there’s gonna be non stop tests
  6. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

well last year they were all bad when I was looking. Couldn’t find a nearest dealer was over 3hrs away who would sell at MSRP and he had none. Seems the same way now. Not a single dealer near me signed up to the EV program.
  7. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

The problem is the damage was done. I would have bought a lightening if it wasn’t for the local dealer attempting to add $20k to the already high MSRP. I had never paid MSRP for a vehicle made in the US so it was already a hard pill to swallow. Now if the T3 is as good as it could be then I...
  8. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

what is it had less than half the range you were told. Would 40miles work for you? You seem to think having 1/2 the miles is ok for everyone else. Let me guess no 40miles would work for you. At what point does a vehicle become not useful for its intended purpose? Maybe 20miles.
  9. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

Too bad I’m gonna complain because it’s pathetic.
  10. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

You are correct i don’t like the patheticly low range. Would you like a vehicle that only got you 40miles between charges?
  11. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

the CT wouldn’t make it 60miles towing that if it struggles to haul a car on a flat bed.
  12. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

it’s a truck. It was advertised as doing truck things. It can’t do truck things. It can’t get its original range even 4 years later. It can’t even get its current rated range. This will cost more to run that a gas truck and much slower to the destination. Trucks were designed to be used to work...
  13. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

No one is buying it fur long haul towing. I have not seen a single person in 4 years say they want to to be able to long haul tow. People who tow around town are buying it just as most other 1/2 tons. If you are long haul towing get a 3/4+ ton. But when it can’t tow my trailer to the nearest...
  14. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

The legacy makers have a problem they clearly can’t fix and that’s dealers. Battery tech and motor tech across the brands seems very close in the real world. I’m checking out what the Ford T3 might offer. The last few months have shown some promising info if it’s correct and it might be showing...
  15. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

You clearly don’t understand truck buyers don’t tow regularly. Most truck buyers dont carry payload regularly either. There’s a vast amount truck buyers who don’t see the cyber truck as a truck in the slightest. Just the idea of it not being able to tow will put the vast majority of truck buyers...
  16. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

I know right. We have only just recently found out the specs advertised 4 years ago are not even close. The specs they advertise now are not even close and the response from some is buy a fossil burner it’s not meant to be used as a truck. These same people have been arguing with the people...
  17. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

depends. I know guys that drive 3hrs each way. My commute is literally 30seconds to 5mins. Unless I goto the suppliers. the charging is unlikely on most sites. My sites here have temp power but some sites run in generators all day.
  18. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

Yet there’s people who say well don’t tow! If I wanted a vehicle that didn’t tow I wouldn’t buy a truck. The CT has diesel HP and TQ and 12k tow rating. Why have that if you are not towing. It’s a truck not a race car. I would have been happy with 150miles. I would have made do wilth 100miles...
  19. Towing tested with 6,000lb Tesla and trailer load

That’s my hope too. mines meant to be mid summer to end of year. I’m hoping there will be some significant software updates to fix the charge speeds and stupidly low range issues. Yeah it’s easy for people to say buy another truck because the cyber truck is not for me. Why design a truck that...
