Bike rack with lights triggers trailer mode

I have the Kuat Pro X bike rack and it has LED full function rear lights incorporated into it. It triggers the trailer mode when you plug it in. Essentially it renders the lights an annoyance. Anybody on here figure a way around this bug? According to Chat the lights pull too much current...

New bed tent available on Amazon.

Apparently fits well but not made of the most robust materials. As a tent it seems to work just fine. I don’t have one. A friend does. https://www.amazon.com/JOYTUTUS-Cybertruck-Waterproof-Tailgate-Camping/dp/B0DXP64WGJ

Dogs in the bed build idea

I’m thinking about building a frame like a car port (dogport) that can mount to the bed or L track that has an open lattice structure on top so I can leave the tonneau maybe a third of the way open for my dogs and they can’t jump out. Rack mounts are abysmal. Are there any billet pieces that attach to create a flat surface with female thread?

I understand the rack interface is not great as far as strength. Who dreamed that up? But there are not many things I want to mount so they are falling off the truck. On a truck with outstanding acceleration? Ahhh no. At a minimum there should be an allowance for a flat crossbar surface without...

Anyone running the new Toyo Open Country AT EV tires in 285/70R 20?

I am picking up my truck this coming Saturday. I bought the core wheels, but plan to eventually put AT tires on. Looks like the Open Country AT EV tires only come in 285/70R 20 instead of 285/65R 20. I would prefer the larger sidewall, but I wonder if I would run into problems. Thanks.
