Road wind noise improved with easy fix: lower rear windows slightly!

I had the same exact issue everyone here is describing.

I took it in for service and made sure to note the problem clearly. I also went on a test drive with the tech — he sat in the back seat and immediately saw what was happening. After that, he brought it back in and explained the fix.

The issue was that the rear glass has a very slight bow (possibly a manufacturing tolerance thing). Their fix was to add a small piece of weather stripping to the rear gasket, which pushes the glass out just enough to seal properly. They also recalibrated everything, but the tech said the gasket adjustment is what actually solves it.

What was interesting is that this only happened in colder temps. When it was around 40–50°F and above, I didn’t notice it. Below that, the issue showed up. The tech also mentioned they had another Cybertruck with the same problem either the day before or the day after mine.

End result: problem solved, no charge.

My advice — just bring it in for service and make sure they ride with you so they can see it firsthand.

I installed the aftermarket door seal kit, and it stopped completely without having to fiddle with window positioning.

Thanks for a clear explanation of that. I figured lowering the window a “ smige ” was reality it better somehow. I have it with both rear doors.

Update - I'm in a loaner CT while my PCS is being replaced.

The passenger rear window noise on this loaner is much worse than mine (unbelievably loud), and I doubt the kit I used on mine would help.

Mine was generally annoying; this one is loud to the point of thinking the window is partially open or something.

Opened the passenger front door yesterday. Quite a bit of snow jammed into the rear corner. I'm tempted to find something to seal low on the door as well.

At highway speeds my wind noise was pretty loud. All windows were in the upmost position. And then I tipped the rear windows to drop slightly and the wind noise was gone! The windows sealed the wind and road noise out perfectly by dropping the windows lightly. Crazy!

It worked on all 3 of my Beasts. It so weird and counter intuitive but whatever works!
