Hi guys,

I got my cybertruck and the latest wall charger at the same time, around June 2025.

Worked great, no real issues... but a few days ago the button on the charger handle no longer opens the charge port door on the CT.

Anyone have this issue? Just stopped working on its own. The only thing I noticed is that it was very cold where I'm at recently, around -28 C but only for a few days.

Is there a way to fix this? It's very practical and I don't like having to unlock it through my app on the phone each time!

Yeah but I want the button to work as it always did, its much easier this way

I got in contact with the service center, they advised me to reach out to the wall connector service team. Will update if I get this fixed

When I use an extension for my mobile charger the button on the extension is hit or miss. I just press the door and get 'er done.

Be interested to learn what the fix is for the Wall Connector.

I have opposite problem. When I push the button on my charger (outside by the carport), it opens my door AND my wife's Model Y's door.

Mine is working fine in the cold.
Fo you know anyone else local with a Tesla and Wall Connector to see if it's a truck or WC issue?
Mobile connector or Supercharger would test the truck also.

I had a similar issue on my 2025. The sensor in the charge port failed. Didn’t work at superchargers either. SC replaced the port under warranty and no issues since.

Also am having this issue. I’d go into service mode and see if there is a charging door fault, you can also see that if you click the notification icon (top right). Adding mine to a list of things I need eventually fixed. I open mine via the Tesla app and it works fine for now

You could test the charge port by unplugging the charge cord, turning on outlets, plugging the mobile connector into the bed, then pushing the button on that handle.
Don't plug in the charge handle though!

I have the same exact issue and have service scheduled for 2/6. Now the charge port door is working normally again, it healed itself I guess.
Still having it serviced to be safe.

It’s always a good CT forum day when Mongo is on the prowl. 🙂

[/QUOTEI don’t know, but logic tells me that it’s a Wi-Fi issue. Try reconnecting your charger to your Wi-Fi and check the cyber truck Wi-Fi data to see what’s connected.
