Drove to the airport for holiday travel parked at 54%, now at 38% 3 days later. Turned off sentry at day 1. Went to low power mode at day 2. Power dropped 41% to 38% while on low power mode.

I have had airport trips where natter barely budges and trips where there phantom drain is worse. It does get cold; I’m parked in Las Vegas airport where overnight it get down to perhaps as low as 40°. But I don’t think that’s the culprit.

And now there is a a software update pending…I checked for one before I left and it wasn’t there. Tesla has this known bug/arm twisting design feature to drain your battery until you accept forced updates. It also helps them support their charging installations. They’re either morons or evil geniuses. Neither are good options.

lol, and now it’s at 37%

I went on a trip and left my truck parked in the driveway. Sentry off. Drained about 1% every 2 hours. Turned on low power mode from the app when it was close to 20% and still drained that much. Never had it drain so much…

Was the 38 to 41 drop actual, or did you get 3% blue bar?

Now I’m at 35%…what happens if it gets to zero before I get back?
Zero would be bad, it should reduce consumption at 20%, but since you already have low power on, not sure what help that would be.
Does the app say asleep or parked?

I don’t know what blue bar means. I opened the app and that’s what it says in top corner 41%…37%…35%. App says ā€œlast seenā€ or ā€œlow power modeā€ depending on when I interacted with CT.

I deleted the iOS widget from my phone…force closed the app…we shall see if that helps.

This is definitely something with this last update. I went on a trip earlier this year and it would drop 2-3% a day with sentry off. Hopefully they will fix it soon with another patch.

I’ve had this happen several months before as well. They issue a software update while I’m on the road and the vehicle won’t enter sleep again until update is installed.
It’s a bug they pay themselves not to fix…or a feature to steal money…think about…a small fraction of the entire fleet will be parked at an airport and will now be required to pay Tesla to get home…I will be forced to pay to get home because they wasted my battery, not because I didn’t have enough to get home had they not stolen my charge through malice or incompetence.

When Tesla drains your battery to zero, do you call roadside assistance in the app? I presume they pay for the tow that they caused, right?

Highly doubt they pay for that
