  1. Trick to get FSD working with the tailgate down

Correct. It’s literally not worth the anxiety it produces. You have to be even more alert than if you’re driving by yourself. You never know when FSD wants to change lanes and your point is exactly the reason. Again, it’s the reason I don’t recommend it. Is there a hack? Yes. Would I do...
  2. Trick to get FSD working with the tailgate down

There is. I don’t recommend it In urban/suburban areas or other places with lots of cars. If you connect your trailer, it defaults to tow mode. Turn off tow mode. The trailer brakes still work. FSD works as well. Now, if you hit a bump and the truck realizes how heavy your load is in the...
  3. Charging Not Exceeding 24A - Troubleshooting recs?

Sounds like all of this is a truck hardware issue. Odd that this is happening to everyone and hopefully there is a software update to fix and that it wasn’t a lot of things bugging out at the same time.
  4. Charging Not Exceeding 24A - Troubleshooting recs?

Did supercharging work at a higher rate? I haven’t tested it out at a DC charger yet.
  5. Charging Not Exceeding 24A - Troubleshooting recs?

My house has a gen 1 wall charger. It has always charged at 40A, but now, when I plug the truck in to charge, I’m limited to 24A. It will not let me increase beyond that. Has this happened to anyone else and do you have any recommended troubleshooting steps? Also, I checked my Model 3 and it’s...
  6. CYBER TENT. 50 BUCKS ON AMAZON.

What was your setup to get it up off the bottom of the bed? I have gear and a spare. But I would love this setup!
  7. Range when towing?

Also, consider trickle charge off a 110 to maintain your charge level if you use sentry.
  8. Range when towing?

Keep at 50 and I think you’ll be fine. How long will you be there? Be mindful of sentry drain if it’s overnight. I’ve never had under 100 miles when towing my airstream, but that’s a little lighter (7k) but more importantly much more aerodynamic. speed is your biggest factor. Slow down and...
  9. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

I don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish. I feel confident we can come up with a set of assumptions that will achieve failure. 100% confident. But I don’t know how that is useful. An ICE vehicle has an increased risk of explosion if you push a lit cigarette into the gas tank...
  10. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

And we haven’t even gotten into single axle vs double axle, which also impacts dynamic forces. Most people with very heavy loads will have a double (or triple) axle rather than single, which produces lower dynamic forces on the hitch.
  11. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

Agree it would be nice. Though Tesla seems to be installing charging stations in such large numbers now that pulling in across is often not a problem. this was from this morning:
  12. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

Except it does so in a results-oriented presentation. Which is why it’s borderline clickbait as opposed to truly helpful.
  13. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

I watched the video and think it’s fair but with a presentation to be clickbaity. The fatigue issues seem like fair questions and we’re stuck taking Teslas word just like others have to take their OEMs words. What I don’t like from an engineering perspective is that in an effort to show how a...
  14. How much is a new front display screen replacement?

That was my first reaction…. Just the screen protector. My iphone screen looked like that for awhile with a broken protector. Was too lazy to fix it. I don’t have anything on my CT screen.
