    Tailgate not flush

I did the exact same as above, but with a vise and a sharp drill bit. I did not enlarge the diameter, but just held the bit vertical and pulled with hand pressure to elongate the hole into an oval. It worked perfectly, and they are now adjustable latch plates, just like the pic posted above...

    Autopilot

not to get in an argument with you because I do agree with you, both on this and many many other things you post on this forum, I used the word “implied” for that reason. I, what I consider to be a reasonable person of average intelligence, would expect a feature that both exists on every other...

    Autopilot

While I agree with you, Tesla never should have listed something in our purchase agreements that might not come to fruition. That’s on them. Base autopilot wasn’t vaporware to us that ordered in 2024, like fsd was to those who paid for it back in 2017+. this isn’t like the range extender...

    Autopilot

To add even more, they have changed the options listed on our specs without informing us. Traffic aware cruise control was never listed under the specs portion of the app. It used to say “autopilot”, and a separate line item with fsd. I have a screen shot of the old items, along with a current...

    Autopilot

I’m also annoyed by this. I tend to like base autopilot more. It’s worked great for 6 years on both of my model 3’s. there seems to be some reading between the lines as Tesla has matured through the years, but for many many years, the definition of “base autopilot” was when you use TACC in...

    Reset seat occupancy sensors issue?

Do you have aftermarket seat covers on, by chance? i was having the same issue with my front passenger seat, but realized I had the lower seat cover tightened too tightly. since It’s the rear, you can buckle and set it as a car seat to get it to leave you alone.

    Rust spots after 1 year

Agreed completely. These iron spots (that rust over time) are not exclusive to the cybertruck. I learned about them in 2006 in my 20s after first spotting them on the door sill of my silver c5 corvette. I remember thinking "how the hell is a plastic car rusting??". since then, I have become a...

    Rust spots after 1 year

While BKF or Citrisurf certainly work well, you kind of have to do the entire truck, or at least the plane/side as they will significantly brighten the steel appearance. with a polisher, one can do the entire truck with BKF in about an hour (or two if taping off plastic trim) with amazing...

Wiper will not stay "off" continuously reverting to "auto" on sunny 600 mile drive

like uber said, cruise would cause the wipers to revert to auto. This is expected behavior. Cruise isn’t just cruise anymore, it’s part of autopilot because it includes safety features that use the cameras, such a traffic aware cruise control, that uses the front cameras to detect obstacles...

    Anyone have 18" Icon Wheels?

can’t wait to see your setup all installed! Makes me wish I’d been a little more patient and just ordered 18’s with tires for the same price as the Tesla winter set, which I plan to run all year and not just winter.

    Anyone have 18" Icon Wheels?

Following. we need more 18" options for this truck.

OEM Vault Cargo Divider now revised & fixed by Tesla!

Is there a time limit for requesting a new divider? I ordered and received revision 1 back on 25 July of last year. mine only works in the area over the smugglers bay. I did remove the aligning spacers inside the telescoping ends and can make it work anywhere, but would rather have the revision.

    850 mile drive on FSD

It looks incredible. I actually took a picture of it the other day to show my wife how amazing white looks in person.

    850 mile drive on FSD

do you work at stratcom on Offutt? There’s a metallic pearl white wrapped one parked in the northwest lot that I always slow down to look at as I love the depth of the white up close.
