So I’ve always felt like these were somewhat expensive for what they are, but those of you who have either bought or seriously considered buying one of these, which is the better product and why? Specific pros and cons to each?
They do appear to be priced about $500 apart.

I had the V1 version of the Nemesis. Mine was actually the first one that used the frunk 48v frunk feed and it used the Diode Dynamics led’s which were not addressable. Sean is an awesome guy and great to work with. I can’t speak to V3, but for mine they had to drill a hole through the DRL for the LED cable. This cable ran down to the frunk where they have the buck converter.

From my understanding, The Boring Light has all the hardware placed inside the DRL, so it uses the existing connector.

I’m not 100% certain but believe both Boring and Nemesis use the blue ghostz controlled and software.

I goofed big time because when I went to install my Underglow, I decided to tidy up the extra play in the wire mentioned above that was near the frunk arm. But I didn’t leave enough play in the cable because its opposite of what you think. With the frunk up, the cable doesn’t need any play, but closing the frunk requires a bunch of play. So I ended up breaking the cable and in turn, it fried the LED’s.
All ended well however, because I opened the DRL up and installed my own LED’s and they are working great. Although the process was on the very high end of difficulty.

feel free to DM me if you want to discuss more over the phone.

Thanks. I’d appreciate that. As I mentioned he seems like a real cool dude but the prices were a little shocking.

Agree price is steep. But I can say the process requires allot of effort. I ended up buying a DRL off e-bay for $600 and used that one on my CT while I played around with opening the other up and installing the addressable LED’s.

Here ya go!
Ok.. so that’s awesome. Thank you. Can anybody on here give me a reason why it’s $2k less awesome than the nemesis v3 and about $600 less awesome than the Boring light?
also, what’s the deal with the headlights, is that an extra add on. They look wicked cool.

Those headlights are standard just operating on light show, they are a newer company working on getting their name out there

Yeah I was wondering about the pricing too until I saw how they’ve got it structured.

– Base price: 2,800
– 15% off sale: 2,380
– Then an 800 core credit if you send your bar in
= 1,580 all in.

Still a chunk of change, but it’s not a straight 3k for a part you still have to install. I did my install in 10 minutes it wasn’t terrible
Do you know where they are located?

They’re not affiliated with the boring company, are they? That’s obviously what they’re going for from their logo and website design. Or did Musk start another company? Lol

Thanks for showing me this. Added it to the original thread title and put a link in the original post.

I do not think they are affiliated with The Boring Company or The Boring Light. The branding just has a similar vibe from what I can tell. They are based out of Illinois.

Install was super easy. I would call it a 2 out of 10 on difficulty. It was around 14 bolts total, mostly 10 millimeter and a couple 8 millimeter. It took about 10 minutes. It is plug and play. I unplugged the factory harness, swapped the bar, plugged it back in and that was it.

When I ordered they also sent me a link to the install directions and those were super detailed, so that helped too.

I did not take pictures during my install, but this is the video I followed and it matches what I did:

Thanks. I’m 90% sold. It’s clearly the cheapest of the 3. Any regrets?

Aight Mike. Heads up, you may be receiving a strongly worded email from my wife in the near future.

lol...heard that

tell your wife I apologize in advance for the bad influence

My girl already made her comments about the light too. I told her I am fully prepared for the next round because clearly it is time to buy some wheels now 😅

Now there’s an expensive rabbit hole. The wheels I mean, not the girl.
Eh…both actually.
