Would love that. Maybe a little tutorial for us mere mortals on the basics of how to use /choose/ install those strips? Or maybe how to do the drl?
like, where does it get power etc…

The DRL is built into the light bar. I didn't do anything to the light bar. The DRL and lightbar are all one unit made by xkglow. Just connect the lightbar to the OEM wires already up on the roof and that's it. Its powered from the Outlets option in the CT. Just turn out the roof outlet and open the app. You control the DRL and flood light from the app.

All I used to augment the Cybertruck logo are 1 LED strip kit and an extra 43" strip (below) and the same app as the lightbar. You order the led strips and hot glue them on top of the white LED plate that would normally light up the logo. The hardest part is opening the black plastic part that houses the white plate (with the LED's on it) would normally light up the logo in a white glow.

I can take pics later if you wish.

What I mean is the trucks drl on the frunk. The only color changing ones I have seen are the boring and sw versions. Maybe I’m hallucinating that yours changes colors. Gonna go watch that sweet video again.

Hmmm - I'm trying to understand your question.

Everything is color changing. The thin LED strips that i installed on the lip of the frunk and under the DRL (which lights up the OEM DRL) are the same LED strips that I used to backlight the frunk logo - which are the same led strips that I inserted in the doors and dashboard and center console and interior rear roof line.

All of those strip lights are this.

XKmax Slim RGB Fiber Optic LED Strip for Car, Truck Interior | XKGLOW

The outside and inside underglow is this: XKmax Underglow Light Kit w/ RGBW Color Chasing | XKGLOW

All of this is being controlled by one app.

Everyone keep in mind that the 48V frunk power wires can't supply enough current for all of my lights and controllers. I use the frunk power wires to charge a separate 12v lithium battery in a lunch bag in the frunk using a 48v to 12v converter after car shows. 48V to 12/24V DC to DC stepdown Converter—Accessory Kit | XKGLOW

My Bluetooth LI 12v battery in the lunch bag lasts about 5 hours at car shows. I have 2 of them. The other one is just sitting in its own lunch bag in the lower bed compartment - just waiting its chance.

With all of my lights running - I'm pulling 21 amps out of that battery. The 48 volt system of the CT only supplies 8 amps max. 48v @ 8 amps should be the equivalent of 12v at 24 amps, but the CT seems to shut off the 48v power feed around 12amps at 12V. Wierd - but oh well - lots to learn.

FYI....The ONLY light that is NOT powered by my small battery is the lightbar. Its powered by the trunk as though it was the OEM light bar.

Well my stock drl that’s on the outside of the frunk lid(not talking about what’s on your roof lightbar) does not turn purple. How do you do that?
There is nothing inside that? Just a strip Underneath?

The XKglow system will display any color at any pattern. There are at least 50 light patterns installed in the app when you install it - and you can create an infinite number of your own. There is also a remote control that you can assign to your 4 favorite patterns to if you didn't want to carry your phone around at a car show. XKmax RF Remote Key Fob—Accessory Kit | XKGLOW

Yes - there is nothing inside the frunks lightbar. I didn't augment or remove it at all. Just 2 strips underneath it. The strips are bright enough to shine through and light the lightbar. I was shocked when I experimented with it.

Now I'm adding the same Xkglow system to my trailer that my CT pulls my 2018 P3D around in. (This pic is before the CT got its red brake shoes)

That one is very thick and won't fit anywhere I installed a light strip.

I used this. XKmax RGB Fiber Optic LED Light Kit w/ Color Chasing & App | XKGLOW with and an extra led strip without the controller is this: XKmax Slim RGB Fiber Optic LED Strip for Car, Truck Interior | XKGLOW

Before you get started - map out how you want' to run your wires. I can help with that if you want. Just DM me or we can start a new light thread.

I don't want to derail the lightbar conversation.

And it’s weatherproof even though it’s the interior version?

Good catch.

well, it isn't exactly waterproof. I purchased this tape and wrapped this tape around it to make it waterproof. Multiple rain storms and carwashes and 6 months later - its still going strong.

Amazon.com: ETERART Transparent Weatherproof Seal Tape 2" x 30 Yards, High Strength Waterproof Sealing Tape for Windows Doors, RV Bathroom Kitchen Outdoor, Air Water Leakage Protection Adhesive Weather Stripping : Industrial & Scientific

The interior strips are raw - non taped.

Other than that - there is no other augments that I've made to anything xkglow.

I did remove the Frunk panel and double side taped the strips to the frunk panel. This guy removed the panel - and more - I just removed the panel.
