It would be a unique fingerprint in my opinion.
Sweet! I'll finally be able to pick out my Cybertruck in a crowded parking lot

While getting wrapped and tinted, I would be real interested to see what the factory tint level measures at first. We have strict tint laws here in VA and I’m trying to see if it is going to be worth the extra cost to get it more tinted than factory. Specifically for the side windows.

I appreciate this. Unfortunately I’m a complete moron when it comes to this stuff and have no idea how to read the gauge. Is that 22.9 the tiny %?

You’re not a moron, you’re just not a professional tint installer. Yes, the stock tint is 22.9%

One of the main reasons I want a SS CT instead of an aluminum Ford or Rivian is because it's much harder to dent and ding it. Also it's one thing if I dent or scratch it myself but I expect a smooth finish from the factory when new, as do most people.

FYI, Tesla will not cover the cost of the re-wrap of the panel, when they finally replace it.

I went through a similar situation on my M3P. Front spoiler had bad scratch from transport.

I had the front wrapped in 3M while I waited 3 months for new bumper..had to pay out of pocket a second time to have it wrapped.

Seems reasonable to me, the wrap is an aftermarket option you choose to do, it has nothing to do with Tesla.
Yeah, who would even expect that?

It definitely is unfortunate to have scratches you didn’t create. I think if they were small enough though I’d just adopt the mindset of “this is my Cybertruck, there are many like it but this one is mine.” I intend to keep mine for many years though.

Totally understand that others feel different, though.

hmm, they look like paint or coating chips.. Yet, Joe Rogan shot an arrow at a panel and nothing like this... I am confused.

There is definitely no way these will scotchbrite pad off or anything like that?

Yes this doesn’t make much sense considering everything we’ve been told about the cold rolled stainless steel

Where is the scratch located? Tough to tell from the picture. I'm trying to compare to your YouTube video to see if it's visible from a bit of a distance.
